This congress is organized every second year by the Dresden stem cell community, which includes the DFG-Research Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) www.crt-dresden.de and the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 655) "Cells into Tissues" www.sfb655.de.

In 2010 the conference will focus on stem cells including their niches, reprogramming and the formation of tissues of multiple organs, such as the CNS, pancreas, skin, heart and the hematopoietic system. In addition, it will specifically address systems biology, biomaterials research and clinical developments in the area of regenerative medicine and cell-based therapies.
