Stem cell research: share your views about the future

Date & time:
16 Apr 2008 6:00pm - 9:15pm

Quincentenary Hall, Surgeons’ Hall Complex, Nicholson Street, Edinburgh EH8 9DW

Come and discuss the different sources of stem cells used in research and let your views be heard

This interactive event will give you an opportunity to learn more about different sources of stem cells used in research, and people’s views of them. This is also an opportunity to share your own perspectives with a range of others, including research scientists, doctors, patients and interested members of the public. Join us to explore and discuss issues such as therapeutic potential, risk and ethical concerns regarding the different sources of stem cells.

Which source(s) of stem cells have the most merit? Decide for yourself and cast a secret vote on how you think financial resources should be divided. At the end of the evening, you will also be able to question a panel of experts, each expert championing one source of stem cells.

All are welcome but places are limited!

If you would like to attend, please contact Sarah Parry by 31st March 2008 to receive your ticket and information pack, or apply in writing to Old Surgeon’s Hall, High School Yards, Edinburgh, EH1 1LZ.
