Video: Tumour formation in embryonic stem cells

The biggest roadblock to using stem cells as a form of medicine is their propensity to form tumours. Stem cell researchers must learn how to prevent these tumours before any transplantation-based therapy can be successful.  In this 5 minute video, produced by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), Paul Knoepfler discusses this important issue.  Paul Knoepfler is an assistant professor of cell biology and human anatomy at the UC, Davis Institute for Regenerative Cures.
