EuroSyStem - the European Federation for Systematic Stem Celli Biology - is an EU Framework 7 partnership. EuroSyStem aims to drive the generation of new knowledge on the characteristics of normal and abnormal stem cells by interconnecting biological and computational expertise.

ESTOOLS, a Framework 6 Integrated Project, is the largest grouping of human embryonic stem celli researchers in Europe. Spanning 10 countries, the project brings together the combined expertise of 21 academic and commercial research teams.  We are advancing the fundamental scientific understanding of hES cell and iPS cellsi, and  developing the tools, techniques and expertise necessary for eventual medical, pharmaceutical and bioindustrial applications of research.

NeuroStemcell - the European Consortium for Stem Cell Therapy in Neurodegenerative Diseases - is an EU Framework 7 partnership. NeuroStemcell combines the expertise of 13 academic partners and three small-to-medium businesses from six countries. Its research focuses on stem-cell-based therapies for Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases.

OptiStem - Optimization of Stem Cell Therapy for Degenerative Epithelial and Muscel Diseases - is made up of 18 partners from seven European countries. Its aim is to develop and implement clinical trials using adult, tissue stem cells to treat degenerative diseases of epithelia and skeletal muscle.

NEUROscreen – The Discovery of Future Neuro-therapeutic Molecules – is a Framework 6 partnership. NEUROscreen is an industry-led project combining novel neural stem cell bioassays and post-genomic chemical genetics to discover potential drugs of relevance to neurological diseases, regenerative medicine and cancer.
