EuroStemCell Connect: Expanding the EuroStemCell community

EuroStemCell is about connecting European citizens with stem cell scientists and their latest research. Our partners represent four major European stem cell research projects and over 95 labs from across Europe, but we know there are many more great research projects going on. That’s why we’re launching EuroStemCell Connect, a new scheme designed to bring together Europe’s stem cell and regenerative medicine community to share the latest news about their science with the public.

About EuroStemCell Connect
There’s so much going on in European stem cell research that it can be tough to keep up with the latest developments, or to be sure the information you’re getting is reliable. At the same time, researchers sometimes struggle to find effective ways to share what they’re doing with members of the public.

We hope EuroStemCell Connect will help tackle these problems by delivering research updates direct from scientists to the public. The scheme is open to all EU Framework 6 or 7 research projects working on stem cells and regenerative medicine. Projects can join EuroStemCell Connect to:

  • post updates about their research on eurostemcell.org
  • get access to public engagement tools and advice
  • share their own materials for the public, or discuss new ideas

European citizens will then get updates on the research their taxes pay for, direct from the scientists themselves. What’s more, the updates will be gathered together in easy-to-read summaries on eurostemcell.org. Our partners have already started the ball rolling on our Reseach updates page.
