Stem Cells and the Intestine Workshop

Stem cells and the intestines workshop

A workshop introducing young people to the concept of stem cells, contextualised by cutting edge science aimed at creating intestine from stem cells. Designed for teachers or scientists to deliver, this 60 minute topical science workshop for 9-14 year olds has been tried, tested and refined in school. The length of the intestine is revealed through the piping of icing sugar for a truly memorable experience! The resource includes delivery instructions and a PowerPoint presentation, modified for delivering at three different ability levels.
